ProActive Personnel Inc. (“ProActive Personnel”) is a privacy conscious company and is strongly committed to your right to privacy. We strictly comply with all applicable provincial and federal law respecting the privacy and protection of your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how ProActive Personnel collects, uses, and discloses personal data collected in its offices and on its Web site, By submitting personal data, a visitor to our offices or our Web site is agreeing to ProActive Personnel’s use of such data as described in this Privacy Policy.
Applications and Resumes
When you submit registration information and/or your resume, your information and your resume are hosted on our internal servers. If you apply for a job or elect to register with ProActive Personnel in its offices or at this Web site, ProActive Personnel will be able to view your information and your resume, but no one else will be able to view them. ProActive Personnel requests your personal information and maintains the information on its servers and on file (where paper applications and resumes have been submitted) which will be accessed by ProActive Personnel only and no other third parties.
ProActive Personnel's Use of the Information
Your personal information will never be traded, sold or leased by ProActive Personnel to any external companies without first obtaining your written consent. Your information is only disclosed for ProActive Personnel's legitimate business purposes or as required to meet legal and regulatory requirements.
In the normal course of business, ProActive Personnel will disclose your personal information to its clients when it feels there is a potential for job placement. As a job seeker, you are relying on us to share such information. ProActive Personnel will only provide your information to employers if there is a job opening that is well-suited for you, and we will only provide information required and requested to make an informed decision regarding a job candidate.
We use the information we gather to deliver the services that we offer. We may use your contact information that you provide in the online registration forms, by e-mail or in person applications to contact you via telephone, e-mail, direct mail or other communications regarding profile fits, updates at the ProActive Personnel site, such as new ProActive Personnel opportunities and services which may be of interest to you, or for internal telemarketing purposes. Should you decide that you would no longer like to be contacted by ProActive Personnel, please notify us and our best efforts will be used to remove you from our contact list. If you do not wish to receive future e-mails from ProActive Personnel, please reply and ask that you be removed from the contact list. Accordingly, you should not receive similar e-mail solicitations from ProActive Personnel in the future.
Disclosure of your Information to Others
ProActive Personnel uses your information internally, with other ProActive Personnel-owned subsidiaries and affiliates, but does not disclose your personal information to third parties, except as set forth below.
We may disclose such information if legally required to do so, if requested to do so by a governmental entity or if it is accordance with this Privacy Policy. Disclosure will at all times be in compliance with the applicable provincial and federal law respecting collection, use and disclosure of personal information.
Consent
If you use our services and provide us with your personal information after reading this privacy policy, ProActive Personnel will deem you to have consented to the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information as specified herein and for the purposes described herein. ProActive Personnel will also understand you to have consented to the use of your personal information for purposes for which you would reasonably expect your personal information to be used by ProActive Personnel.
Retention of your Personal Information
ProActive Personnel retains your information as long as you are using our placement services, or longer if required by law. For temporary workers, that means we retain your information as long as you remain on our payroll, and for seven years thereafter. For permanent placements, we retain your information for two years after you accept a permanent employment position.
Access to and Correction of your Personal Information
You may at any time make a written request for access to your personal information as provided in the applicable provincial privacy laws.
ProActive Personnel makes every effort to ensure that we have accurate and the most current record of your personal information. This is not possible without your help. We ask you to provide us with your most up to date information and to let us know of any personal information you have given us in the past or that is otherwise in our records that is incomplete or inaccurate. We will be pleased make appropriate amendments or additions.
Changes to Privacy Policy
If ProActive Personnel decides to change its Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on our website and in our offices so that you will always know what information we gather, how we might use that information, and to whom we will disclose it. We welcome your comments concerning this Privacy Policy.
